About Cailyn

Hello, my name is Cailyn. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, a place that shaped my love for nature, creativity, and community. Growing up here instilled in me a deep appreciation for curiosity, connection, and the importance of nurturing children as whole individuals.

My path into caregiving has been deeply personal. Experiencing hardship and instability early in life taught me empathy, patience, and resilience. Those experiences also sparked my lifelong interest in wellness and emotional growth. Through mindfulness, nutrition, movement, and intentional living, I learned how powerful it is to create environments where people feel safe, supported, and able to thrive. That perspective naturally shapes the way I care for children.

As a nanny, I see my role as so much more than supervision. I see children as whole individuals with their own inner worlds and unique ways of experiencing life. My goal is to nurture their curiosity, encourage self-expression, and create a space where they feel safe exploring their emotions and ideas. Children have an incredible way of reminding us to slow down, stay curious, and find joy in the present moment. They teach us as much as we teach them, and I hold that exchange as sacred.

I also deeply value teamwork within a household. Caring for children is often a collaborative effort, whether working alongside parents, other caregivers, or household staff. Clear communication, consistency, and mutual respect are essential. I take pride in integrating seamlessly into a family’s rhythms and supporting a unified approach so children always feel stability and continuity.

There truly isn’t another career that feels more aligned with who I am. Until the day I step into motherhood myself, I feel grateful to dedicate my time, energy, and heart to caring for the children entrusted to me.

In a world full of distractions, my focus is on creating spaces filled with love, laughter, and genuine presence.
